What we aim for

We build towards the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. That is the standard we design and test against; it is a target we work at rather than a certificate we have been issued.

What this site does

• Works from the keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline on everything interactive.
• Uses real headings, lists, labels and landmarks, so screen readers can navigate it.
• Meets AA contrast for body text and interface elements.
• Reflows to a single column on small screens, and to 400% zoom without horizontal scrolling.
• Describes images that carry meaning, and hides purely decorative ones from assistive technology.
• Respects a reduced-motion preference set in your operating system.
• Does not depend on color alone to convey information.

Where we know we fall short

Some material published before this site was rebuilt — older PDFs, and video without captions — does not yet meet the standard. We are working through it. If you need any of it in another format, ask and we will get it to you.

If you need information from this site urgently and cannot get to it, email us and we will read it to you, send it in another format, or take it over the phone. You should not have to wait for a fix.
